We specialize in a number of heating options, including:
Furnace
A furnace is a heating system fueled by gas, oil, or wood, in which air or water is heated to be circulated throughout the home. High-efficiency furnaces feature sealed combustion, which brings outside air directly into the burner, and exhaust flue gases (combustion products) directly outside, without the need for a draft hood or damper.
Furnaces are the most common heating system in U.S. households, and are measured by AFUE, or, “Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency.” This rating tells you how much of the heat your furnace creates is being used to heat your home, versus lost up the flue pipe. Most older furnaces are rated around 40% – 50% efficiency, while newer systems are required to have a minimum AFUE rating of 80%, nearly double old standards.
Mini Split
Ductless Mini Split systems can be used in addition to another heating system. Mini splits are typically installed in a room where a traditional ducted system is not an option or would be less efficient. They can heat (or cool) any room quickly and effectively. We even have two in our office!
Heat Pump
Heat pumps use power three to four times more efficiently than simple electrical resistance heaters, like wall heaters, space heaters, and radiant heating. Heat pumps are a popular choice for all-electric homes.
How is your heater’s performance & efficiency?
Your current heater might be dependable, but there are simpler, faster, more reliable systems out there today. These new systems save you money by using less electricity than the older models, similar to a new car that gets better mileage and needs fewer repairs.
For every heating system (whether brand new or a decade old) California Energy Services offers preventive maintenance plans to help you avoid expensive last-minute repairs and keep your heater running efficiently.
