CES installs insulation throughout El Dorado Hills and the Greater Sacramento area. We have hundreds of satisfied customers over the years who have lowered their energy bills by insulating their walls, attics, and crawlspaces. Since we are adherents to the “whole house approach”, insulation is part of a larger package of home performance services that include:

Tailored Insulation Services For Year-Round Comfort

For Sacramento area homes, we primarily use loose-fill cellulose, dense-pack cellulose, spray foam, and occasional fiberglass batt insulation. Since each type of insulation has its particular properties, we select the best insulation in consultation with the homeowner and their goals and budget.

We also carefully select insulation types, including:

Cellulose Insulation:

Made entirely out of recycled materials, cellulose insulation is best for attics (loose-fill) or can be compacted into wall cavities (dense-pact.) It is relatively inexpensive compared to spray foam and is one of the most environmentally-friendly insulation materials on the market.

Spray Foam Insulation:

Spray Polyurethane Foam insulation in a revolutionary product that provides a moisture barrier (closed-cell only) and an industry leading R-Value per inch. Since it is expensive compared to cellulose and fiberglass batts, we use it sparingly and in small spaces where it will have the greatest impact on efficiency.

Fiberglass Insulation:

The least expensive of the three insulation options, fiberglass batts work by creating small air pockets within spun fibers. It is sometimes “faced” with a reflective material the helps block radiant heat transfer as well.

Fiberglass batts are often found in attics and sometimes walls in Sacramento area homes. A major issue with fiberglass batts is improper installation which reduces efficiency. A home energy audit can quickly locate where your fiberglass batts are either missing or have fallen down – creating very cold/warm walls and driving up energy costs.

HVAC Pros Know To Air Seal Before Insulating Your Home Attic

Insulation Services - El Dorado Hills

We have seen too many unfortunate cases where an insulation contractor insulated without air sealing. For the homeowner, this represents a huge loss in efficiency and a waste of money. Insulation does not stop air from moving through it – in fact, air passes through insulation quite easily!

We take a comprehensive approach to insulation that includes making sure your home is properly air sealed first!
